RE: 1988 mx6 turbo?

The posted 145hp was actually understated due to insurance purposes. I purchased an 88 MX6 turbo new in 1987. She is still a daily driver, has got 205,000 US miles on ORIGINAL turbo. Running k&N air induction, Blue Max wires, Splitfire plugs. She is wicked fast. I have raced early 90 Mustang V8 and she will keep up nose to nose. Any GM 5.7 liter will put her behind though. Driven normally I still get 28 mpg. I have had to let off on her a little bit because the torque on this thing keeps ripping out the CV joints. I have a 5 speed manual. I understand the automatic is quicker and a little less torque on the drivetrain. I Will drive the car until she dies, hopefully in another 50,000.

The 145 horsepower figure is right but even better is the 190 to 195 pound feet of torque these cars make.
