I have a 1988 Mazda MX-6 that has about 240k original miles on it... it's been an extremely good car to me and who knows, it may last even longer... but I'm starting to get the sense that the engine is going to give out soon. Besides it needing a paint job REALLY bad, the car is in very good condition and I'd like to keep it running... especially since it's my second car used for pizza delivery. My question is: What kind of motor can I drop in it? I'd like it to be a little bit faster but maybe dropping a different motor in it isn't the right option. Should I just get the same one?

i dont think there is really anything to swap in.. maybe update to the gt turbo motor.. the turbo would bolt right up. might not be the best for a non turbo engine. but u could build up our motor. or i will take the body off u if u are close to ohio.. lol
