Good evening,

Last year I bought an 81 Lcustom 1.5 E5 GLC. The previous owner did some goofy things to the emissions and I have been trying to get it going. The engine would start and run but it would eventually die and while it was running, it didn't sound too good. Also once it died it took many tries to get it started again. I have since removed the rest of the emissions and plugged all the vacuum lines. (Previous guy didn't do this) I have also taken off the carb and bought a rebuild kit that took like 2 months to get. As anyone who owns one of these cars will understand, there's almost nothing on the interwebs on these cars. I'm not totally against swapping the motor out but being there's no information (and the information I do find is very limited) it's hard for me to start any projects on this car. I'm pretty good with cars but have never worked on a carbed car so my knowledge is limited. If there is anyone who has diagrams of the carb or engine or any know how would do me wonders. The car is very fun to drive and I want get it back on the road.

Also most of the exhaust was either completely rusted away or missing. And obviously I can't find parts. I built a new exhaust for it but I don't think that was the problem because it was still running the same.
