thermostat for 2000 MPV
 

where is the thermostat for the 200 MPV? i know it is somewhere at the end of the upper radiator hose. at the end of mine, there are two compression clamps, oneoneach side of a seam over a tube of some sort. the only other place to separate the hose is next to the engine block after the lower and upper hoses have joined together. the only diagram i've been able to find so far shows the thermostat at the end of the upper hose, which i can't seem to get separated.

i finally found a different diagram which labelled some items differently and actually made more sense: it shows the thermostat and housing off of the lower hose. THAT looks more like what it should. is this the correct diagram?
