MPV please advise me on buying and what to look out for
 

i guys,
after having to say goodbye to our 2000 323 2.0 td this year we are in mourning and my wife wants another mazda, she hates the mondeo i bought her!
looking at an MPV 2.0 td. Are these the same enine as the 323 and 626 diesels? our wee 323 had covered 197k miles and was never in the garage, all i ever needed to do was oil and brakes, radiator went and starter motor and that was it!! still running in a field as my mechanic bought her for his kids to play in so she gets abused every weekend and has never let go. Rust killed it for us as the floor was rotting.
anyway have seen a nice couple of MPv's at around the 03 04 mark with milage around 70 to 80k.
Anything i should look out for, are these fitted with the dreaded DM clutches and the hated DPF?
would love your advice befor i fly over to England and buy one.
both have good service history and full MOT.

Looking at your post, seems you know more about that car than anyone else. I certainly don't know what to tell you to look for, sorry.

Ron: this is not a bad forum, but most participants are from North America. Mazda has not sold any Diesels here lately. I hope some British chap will pick up the slack.
