MPV 2002 Engine Light

Engine Light on MPV 02 came back on after taking it to the Dealer who said it was a catalytic converter that was dirty. He gave me a bottle of Techtron engine cleaner after turning off the engine lightindicatorvia a handheld computer hookupto a connection under my dash.
The light came back on. Got 65000 on the vehicle. No performance issues with the engine as I can tell..
Any thoughts of assistance?

The problems that John is repoprting are similar to ones on my 2002 MPV LX. The Check Engine Light came on and threw a Code for the O2 Sensor. The mechanic replaced it and drove it for a test drive. He drove it a second time, and the Check Engine Light came back on. It threw a Code P0431. It looks like there are 10 problems related to the Cat and related Emmisions components. One garage quoted $1200.00 to replae the Cat System. Is that worth the expense on a vehicle with 100,000 miles?

CaptnKC.
Try this: give it a good tune up, new plugs, wires, maybe a coil pack, new air filter, new PCV valve,
Then, with the tank half full add 1 gal of lacquer thinner (NOT PAINT THINNER!) to the tank and drive this vehicle for about 100 miles, give it a few good accelerations up to 4000 rpm. That will clean the injectors, O2 sensors, pre- cat and cat as well.
There is no guarantee that this will work but it only has to improve the efficiency from where it is to over 95%.

Let us know the outcome.
