You are in more than one gear there Safa:D. Does the van drive and shift normally? It could be a problem with the instrument cluster but would be much more suspect of the transaxle range switch on the transmission.

:((( me to Safa. I will find a way to make more clear what I am saying to you. I will take a picture of the part that I think is causing the problem so will be more understandable. OK. :)))

safa, have been looking to see a 2000-2001 MPV in the shop so could get a good picture of the TR sensor but have not had one in yet[:@]. All later 2002 and up and looks different. If not one in the next day or two on schedule then will get some pics of later year MPV and will at least havetheidea. OK.:DIs right under the battery and tray area but will get a picture for you so is clear to understand. Ok my friend?;)

О.К, thanks for the help!
At us the same is a site where ownersMPV (2000-..)discuss different themes and tell about the problems. http://www.mikrob.ru/viewforum.php?f...9e6e4364337d11
But one problem - a problem number one-hight fuel consumptionof gasoline. And still, why serviceable at one consumes 14-15 litres on 100 kilometers, and at others 18-20. In both cases cars are serviceable, spark plugs, wires, oils, filters-new, no CEL. In what there can be a problem?

Finally a 2001 MPV that needed a coolant hose.:D

This is the switch that I suspect is causing your problem.
It is called a Transmission Range sensor. It sends the signal to the dash to tell you what gear should have the box around it. Will need to remove the battery and battery tray to get to it.

Mazda part number for sensor is FB02-21-444A. Do not know if part is same in Russia as in America??

Fuel consuption can vary greatly safa. The way that a person drives is the largest factor. Someone who is slow to depress the gas pedal and drives easily will get better fuel consuption. Someone who drives very with pedal depressed hard all the time will get worse fuel consumtion. Driving on flat ground will get better fuel consumption. Driving on hilly areas will get worse fuel consumption.

Visited the site but was a little diffiult to read. Hope this all helps safa.
