Default Missing on #1 cylinder

Hi, This my first time on this forum. I have a 2001 Mazda MPV that suddenly started missing on the #1 cylinder. When it first started missing I thought we had water in the gas but it kept missing so I took it to a garage for repair. That was 2 months ago. At first they said I needed new plugs and wires which they put in and it still missed on #1. So, they thought it was a feul injector that was bad so they switched the #1 with the #6 and it still missed on #1. Then, they said they thought the computer was bad so they had it tested and said it was. They found a computer for it and put it in but it still misses on the #1 cylinder. Now they are thinking they may have gotten the fuel injectors mixed up when they thought they switched the #1 and #6. Anyway, here I am 2 months with my van still in the garage and no better off that when I first took it there. Any suggestions to what might be causing it to miss on #1? When this fist happen, it sort of jerked and popped as though it might of backfired or may of had water in the gas.
