keys for Premacy. HELP

I am thinking of buying a 2001 premacy as our second vehicle.

I have seen a really nice example. HOWEVER there is only
1 key present, NO REMOTE or 2nd KEY.

The dilemma is that i rang the local dealership and he says it will cost:

£120 for a spare key &
£130 for a remote .

£250 cannot believe that !!!

Arrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Is this correct or what options do i have ???
Any independant suppliers etc etc ???

RE: keys for Premacy. HELP

Expensive keys and remotes. Is the Premacy the equivalent of MPV in North American Market?? The keys should only be that expensive if your vehicle is equipped with Immobillizer or Anti-theft system. There is a chip in the key that is programmed into the vehicle computer so only those programmed keys will start the van. They are kind of spendy and there is also cost to have them programmed as you will not be able to. You can tell if you have this system as there should be a light on the instrument cluster that flashes when key is not in ignition. Do not know of a cheaper source for these.
The remote might be available for a much lower cost at link below. The one pictured is for a 2001 MPV. Before ordering make sure that it looks like the one that should be for your Premacy. More importantly however, make sure that the FCC ID or CANADA code number is the same as this is the frequency code. Maybe your dealer could let you look at new Mazda one and then you could see how it looks and record those numbers down for comparison.
