cooling fan system desnīt work 100%
Dear Miss/Mister:
I need help from you.
I have Mazda MPV 2,3cc 2005.
I want to know if my car has its fan cooling system good. When the car is in static posición for a long time, never work its radiators fan. So, I checked some things.
First, when I disconect the sensor ect plug, both FAN worked. So, I think that the Radiators Fan and the PCM Computer are in good conditions, but I checked these parts again, and I simulated resistance with a "resistance simulator" in the sensor ect plug. Then,I began with 35 kohms, so when the resistance was in 2,0 kohms, the radiators fan worked. So, I thought that the ECT sensor would be migth be bad.
I checked this according to Work shop manual and the following:
Temperature(°C ) Resistance (kohm)
20 39,20
70 5,60
80 4,02
The check sensor ECT was good, but I heated the sensor until 98° C and, its rensistance was 2,5 kohm. So, my main question is:
for this temperature(98°C) Is this resistance(2,5Kohms) good?
If this situation is good, the system never will work with this sensor, because the sensor isnīt able to send the resistance (<2,0 kohms) the computer and operate the system.
At last, I installed the sensor, warmed the engine and, I measured the resistance from ECT sensor. This reached 2,3 kohms and never worked the radiators Fan.
Can you give me one advice??
I will be waiting, thank you very much.
