Default Cooling Fan

Hey I am new to this forum stuff but I thought I would give it a try. My 2006 MPV's fan keeps coming on very frequently and soon right after the vehicle is started. Wondering if anybody else has had this issue and what the problem was. Is there an electrical sensor in there somewhere that could be malfunctioning. Please help.

My fan was doing the same thing. I replaced the A/C fan control relay which is on the driver side portion of the fan shroud. Took care of the problem. Easy fix. Just 3 screws and a couple of electrical plugs.

Even if your A/C button is not "on," it could be that you have the heater control on the footwell position or further toward the defrost.
From the 12 o'clock position and on, the A/C compressor is engaged whether or not the manual button is pushed or not. This is common in modern vehicles to help reduce the moisture in the car and especially on the windows.

The MPV is notorious for bad fan control modules. Easy fix. I have already had mine replaced once on my 2003 MPV and now need to again.

On my 2000 MPV van the fan on the passenger side never comes on. The driver's side fan does come on. When the AC is turned on, aren't both fans supposed to come on? Would a bad fan control module cause this? thanks for any help.

i have an 2003 mpv and went through 3 fan control modules. i kept buying them off ebay. i think ebay is saleing the old model that was problematic. so i would suggest not to purchase from ebay. go to rockauto and try the beck arnley brand. runs about 52.00. the dealer wants 140.00 for this part.

Thanks for the video. I could have found it after 2 weeks of searching but you made it easier. The fans on my daughter's van come on when the van is started and then slow down, speed up and turn off. Everything off inside the vehicle. Acts up on, off, a/c on or off. Time to replace it.
