I have a 2002 MPV...In the winter when my windows are fogging, I use the Outside Air control and with my temperature control in the warm/hot position. After a bit there is a 'burning smell', that is not pleasant. Also when I am done driving the outside of the car, near the hood, has a burning smell. Does anybody know why?

 

could be heater core...my 2000 had an aweful smell that end up being the rear main seal slinging oil on to my exhaust

 

Somewhere I read about a $20 part located behind the ac compressor that is causing the burnt oil smell
