Battery dying, amperage draw....

So my battery has been dying after sitting a few days, I charged it and it died again. Recharge again, Got out the meter and I have an 8 amp draw from the battery.

I start pulling fuses and the draw stops when pulling the BTN fuse. From research, the BTN fuse controls STOP, HAZARD, ROOM, D.LOCK AND DRL.

Assuming DRL is daytime running lights I think I can rule that out since my van doesnt have daytime running lights.

To be honest, Im not exactly sure where to go from here... but my next step is to start unplugging components (hazard switch, dome lights, brake light switch, etc...) and see if the draw stops. Is that right? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys, I am very good at repairing cars, just not too skilled with electrical. Electrical doesnt scare me either, just dont know a whole lot about it. Updates to follow...

All I know about electrics I learned from a BMW R 26. You had a Rabbit. That should have been a great "teacher" as well!;)

LOL! Not so much. Didnt do a lot of wiring on that. I have done quite of few vw engine swaps, mk2 vr6, digifant 16v, mk1 g60, but thats all remove and replace. Not too hard. Its troubleshooting I always have problems with.
