2001 mpv, p1170 & p1173
 

Have 4 codes, two are P1170 & P1173. Don't think both O2 sensors died at same time. Also P0174 bank 2 lean. Need to look for vacuum leak and P0481 Fan 2 circuit problem. Please help...........Jay

Its not impossible that both 02 sensors have died, they may not bring on any warning lights when they fail, & may of failed at different times.

I don't have access to a MPV manual online, but some info from other models for the two following codes.

DTC P0174 : System too lean (LH)

DETECTION CONDITION
• P0174 indicates that the fuel/air ratio is too lean (LH).
• The adaptive fuel strategy continuously monitors the fuel delivery hardware. The test fails when the adaptive fuel tables reach a rich calibrated limit.
======= THIS MAYBE A RESULT OF A FAULTY O2 SENSOR ======


DTC : P0481 :

Detection Condition • The PCM monitors that the high speed cooling fan relay No.1 and No.2 primary circuit voltage at PCM terminal 46. The PCM detects excessive current draw (while PCM grounds circuit) or no voltage (while PCM does not ground circuit), the PCM determines that the high speed cooling fan relay No.1 and No.2 primary circuits failure.
