2001 MPV Alternator Replacement

I have been driving my 2001 MPV without any problems until now. Two months after my warranty expires, I find out that my alternator needs to be replaced. I contacted the dealer and they want $400 for the new alternator and $200 to installit. In my infinite wisdom and cheapness I thought I outsmarted the dealer byfinding andordering a remanufactured alternator online for about $108 bucks. After I orderedthe alternator I decided (admittingly too late) to take a look atmy engine to get an ideaof the type of job involved and wasSHOCKED tosee that the alternator is on the bottom side of the engine out the range of any normal human being with solid bones. Does anyone have any (non-silly) advise for me as to how I should attempt to change the alternator myself. I think I might need to get to it from the bottom, but I don't know if I would have any more room to work on it. Any advise would be appreciated.</P>
