I had same thing happen to mine, called up a friend, said it could of jumped time.
1st, check your plug wires, plug placement is 1,2,3,4,5,6 . Pull distributor cap off, rotate bolt to move timing gear to TD, then check if rotor button facing to #1 , if not, losing bolt holding distributor, pull out gently, just enough to rotate button to #1 position. tighten bolt and replace cap. Took me couple hours to hit the right compression setting, but finally got it. Now just need to find out why it has a small rough idle and lack of power.
