1990 minivan

:eek:Hi. I own a 1990 minivan that has started to have electrical problems. Started with no interior lighting. Changed all bulbs, checked fuses. Now radio and clock have nose-dived. Nearest shop is over 30 miles. Have repair manual but really doesn't tell too much re; elec. According to book may be CPU but book recommends having shop tested. Any suggestions? Love that old gray buggy. Has close to 160M on original engine. 5 speed manual. 4 cyl. I suppose it actually started with cig. lighter not working but I did make the connection until now.

High and welcome to the forum, hope you get your answers (i hate it when the manual does not give you enough info), when you get the chance get some pics uploaded just for fun.

RE: 1990 minivan

Hi old gray buggy. My wifes baby is a white 92 V6 Auto 4x4 so I know what you mean. She loves the van and refuses to drive anything else. She won't even let me drive it unless it is to bring into the shop for maintenance or fixing something. Did all of these things happen at the same time or each one by one? The 'CIGAR' fuse in underdash box is common to all of the failures you describe but if it was blown all would have quit at the same time.
