Where is the temp guage sending unit

Hey all,
I own a 2000 Milly with a 2.5 ltr
My temp guage is freaking out, It's reading atleast 20 to 25 deg's higher that the actual temp.
I'm using a temp gun and the temp's I'm reading are around 190 to 210 but the guage is almost pinned.
I can't locate the sending unit for the guage, I found the one near the upper rad hose.
The wiring diagram does not call for another sending unit/sensor BUT the parts list I have calls for another one.
Is there another one?? if so can someone tell me where it is.
Is it possible the the 2.3 only has 2 but the 2.5 has 1.

Thank you in advance.

On my '95 2.5,it's on the pass.side end of engine, between the 2 (frt.&rr.) cylinder banks-has 1 wire going to it.That's the only one I'm aware of.

Kind of "down in the valley",in that area. There's another connector/plug that goes next to it.
