Suspension troubleshooting

I have a 2001 Mazda Millenia 2.5L. Bought new. Great car. 93k miles on it and their is a small clunking noise that comes from the front passenger suspension system when going over bumps (I think it happens anytime the weight has just come off of that front right wheel and the wheel is going back down again). I took it into a local garage and they put it up on the lift and felt around and everything seemed real tight, so they could not find anything. More subjectively, my car doesn't seem to be as sure-footed on curves as it used to be, but I may be imagining that. Is there anyway to troubleshoot this myself and/or would it be a good bet to replace the stabilizer bar link (any recommendation as to which part brand? I was looking at RockAuto's selection.

My 98 does that on all four wheels (198,000 miles). On mine it's the ball joint on the upper control arm. If you look right above the top of the tire you'll see the joint. I can grab mine and move it up and down about 1/16". I just got on here to see if anybody had a fix other than replacing the whole arm at 115 bucks a pop. I suppose it's worth spending if you only have one.
