I just need to vent
So since I have purchased my baby milli. I have locked my keys in the car twice now. As i paced back and forth beside my car I began to wonder. Why is there not a safety feature to prevent drivers from locking there keys in there car? My prev 95 Nissan Max had a feature that would either not allow the locks to lock, if the door was open, or automatically unlock if the door was closed and the key was in the ignition. I just found it confusing that a 2002 car does not have a safety feature that 1995 car has.
Ok got that off my chest. If anyone has any ideas on this just let me know. BTW I am getting my remote programmed for my car. So hopefully this will keep me from doing it again.

My 97 Milli has a feature that if I lock the doors with the keys in the ignition with the engine switched off the dumb guy light on the dash flashes and the doors unlock by themselves. I figured all Millenias had this feature. ( I of course made up the stuff about the dumb guy light, actually I stole it from an old Bill Cosby album)
I hate it when the car is smarter than it's owner. Not only will it not let you lock the keys in the ignition, but if you lock it with the sun roof open it will close it then lock the doors. Not that I ever did that, well maybe once...
