How to save/fix a 95 millenia hub cap
Here is what I did to fix/use a damaged hub cap. They are $30-40.
First I scrubed the outer surface with a scotch bright and painted it with a small can of paint ($5)from Cragans/Shurbas. The paint was pealing off, looked realy bad.I can not remember the exact paint code, I will try toget it in the future, a very good match though. Bought cable kwik klips, ($4).I think from Freddy Mayer in Bonney Lake, WA state, part number Gkk-1538. Madeby Gardner Bender. Cut the front "nose" off and attached to the inside of the hub cap after cleaning the surface. Need to make sure it does not go past the old plastic tab line.I had three broken plastic tabs on one of the hub caps. So far they (three hub caps)have held, 10,000 miles and many commertial washings. Best of luck... The paint used was from Autozone. Dupli-Color, Silver Metalic DSFM226. Good match.
