Help, 94 2.5 stuck in limp mode, Help please 94 2.5 stuck in limp mode
 

Hello all,
Really stuck now.

My 94 millenia 2.5 V6 has now developed a problem that my local garage can't resolve, and to take it to the main dealer would cost more than the car is worth.

Essentially the car runs perfectly for about five minutes then when you stop at a junction or lights, the engine almost dies before coming back to life again,

except now it is in what is known as Limp Mode. This means it wont go any faster than about five mph, just enough in fact to "Limp" to the nearest garage.

Despite replacing pipes, cables, leads, plugs and God only knows what, the problem persists. Curiously, the computer code says there is no problem??



please help!

It can't go into limp mode without setting a code. There are alot of things that could cause what you describe. Maybe try a different mechanic.
