Check Engine Light for Millenia

With many Millenia owners having the same problem with the "check engine" light (mine, an '02, has been off and on for approx. 3 years) why won't Mazda just recall the darn things.....oh, wait....I think I just answered my own question!
I've tried everything from taking it to the shop 3 times ($725 a pop) to using carb cleaner, upgrading the gas....you name, we've done it! Any other suggestions??

What are the codes when the check engine light comes on?

we have 2 99's. the check engine lite has come on at least a dozen times. each time, i scan it, fix it, then erase it. no problems here.

Uh, code?? I hate to sound, well, uh, dumb about this, but I'm not sure how I find that out. The Mazda folks say its my EGR valve??
I LOVE this car and the check engine light is the only issue I've ever had with it.

Usually if they pull a code from the PCM, they would tell you what it is. Sounds like they just told you what the faulty part is, which may be better. Just depends on the tech though.

Check out this thread http://forums.mazdaworld.org/index.php?showtopic=13174. Sounds like it could be P0400, thats the one I've been getting.
