Assistance with 2000 Mazda Millenia

Hey all. I am new here and am excited to hear from everyone.

I have a 2000 Mazda Millenia w/2.5L v6 engine. I cannot open the drivers side door from the latch inside. I have take the door panel off and there is a plastic piece that the rods connect too that snapped.

Does anyone have a part number or know what the inside door handle latch is even called? I need to replace the whole mechanism.

The door unlocks fine too. I currently have to roll the window down and reach out and open the door from the outside.

Thanks

go here:

Mazda Parts - Authentic OEM Mazda Parts direct from Jim Ellis Mazda | Jim Ellis Mazda

put in your appropriate year, etc. then find the diagram with what part you need. find the part number. do NOT buy the part, unless you like paying suggested list price, which will still be much less than over the counter at your local dealer. the best place for mazda parts is tasca:

TascaParts.com

tasca does have an epc, but it is not quite as detailed as the factory epc used by ellis. tasca will sell you the part for about 25% less than ellis

yah, learn how to read part numbers. this part comes in 2 colors, and is vin dependent. the vin split is 981026. if your vin is BEFORE that number, black is T043-59-330 02. if beige, then all same numbers except last 2 are 80. if after that vin, black T043-59-330A 02, or 80 for beige. they may supersede. checking tasca, the part numbers come up. if you cant find them now, then you are beyond help
