Default Difference in 95-97 and later KJ engines

Hey im new to the forum!

I have bought a 99 millenia S with what I can figure to be a blown engine. Compression was 180-180-180-140-150-150. When its running its missing and sounds "clunkey". Pulling the PCV on the front valve cover and the hole is puffing quite a bit of white gas smelling smoke, so it has quite a bit of blow by.

I am looking at "JDM" engines to replace this one with since I seem to be findign them cheaper then USDM motors.

But other than some of the plumbing for the supercharger and intercoolers what major differences would i run into putting a 95-97 motor in my 99? Is it just a few sensors? Any help would be great!
