Like the grim_reaper said above, you would need to keep the same part number.
However, I wonder why there would be different ECU part numbers for the same year of car, since there was only one engine available that year. Anyone know?

Hello Doug Some cars have immobilizer if your pcm goes you have to replace the immobilizer also or it wont work they have to be programed together also a after market solution from motorsport uk . com [ em221 pcm] very good one it eliminates the immobilize Ron
