NA automatic gear change
Hi,
I am just before buying a 1997 m edition Miata, one of the few, which where privately imported to Germany.
Mazda offered only manual gearbox in Germany.
As nobody can answer my question here, I try it now in this forum.
When the vehicle is running downhill in overrun condition and I push slightly the accelerator pedal, the gearbox changes gear to a lower gear and immediately after that changes again one gear higher, where it was before.
Gearbox in D and no kick down.
I never had this behaviour on other cars, therefore my question, is this normal or the gearbox potentially worn?
