HELP!!!! PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT!!!!
i have a 19901.6L miata. my friend has a 2004 2.3L mazda 6.....my 0-60 is supposed to be 7.9 seconds....his 0-60 is supposed to be 8.6 seconds....my miata has 126 HP and weighs a heck of a lot less...his 6 has 160 HP and is heaver than a 3 with the same 2.3L motor......do you think that i can beat him from a stand still quarter mile race??? my miata has intake, exhaust, short shifter(adds nothing), and nology plugs and wires.....his is stock.....also they are both manual transmission.......save me the humiliation of racing and losing....

RE: HELP!!!! PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT!!!!
Take it to the track and have fun, no humiliation involved. Elsewhere it can be costly and humiliating. Good luck.

RE: HELP!!!! PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT!!!!
it depends on how good you or your friend can drive. he may have a faster car but not if he misses a gear or spins out. still fun win or lose to me. you could always turbo the miata and then blow his doors off.

RE: HELP!!!! PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT!!!!
Challenge him in a road race with nice twisty turns throughout. You'll eat his lunch. The Miata is not a 1/4 mile car. Then again, neither is the 6.

Look into Double clutching. I am a !/4 mile Queen in Arkansas. But only in Hondas and Toyotas i got my first miata and i am learning how to drift. So if your any good at drag i would go for drag. But i Do agree miatas and 6's are track cars and they are fun to drift.
