headlight retractor
 

hello everyone. i have a 97 miata m edition. the headlight retractor stopped working the while back i looked into and i found the relay to be bad, i opened the relay up and it smelled burnt, so i got another relay and put it in. it worked at the time. the car sat for awhile, when i went back to it it didnt work anymore. i checked the relay and it smells burnt again. im wondering what can burn the relay so quick and have to effect on the fuse. prior to the relay going out the first time, one time when i turned the lights and the car off the headlight started going up and down none stop until i started the car again than they stopped. they went back to their normal operation till a month later they gave out. any ideas would be awesome

wow no respond at all. well it seems that the problem was the used relay. i got another one and its been working for a couple of days so far
