Has anyone else had a problem with CARBON MIATA like this?
Mazda Miata (MX-5)This compact RWD model, offered with many engines options for those are who want to cruise with the top down in a base model, or hit the track in one of the high performance models, has been a popular model since its introduction.
Has anyone else had a problem with CARBON MIATA like this?
I also ordered a set of BLACK MAZDA EMBLEMS from them & they were MADE OF METAL & not Plastic!! I thought the idea of the MIATA is to keep the weight down so it has better acceleration!! SO WHY WOULD THEY SEND ME HEAVY METAL MAZDA EMBLEMS TO REPLACE MY PLASSTIC ONES????
Has anyone else had this kind of problem of POOR QUALITY PARTS from CARBON MIATA in the past!!! I would love to hear your comments!!
LOL really..... well you are new to the aftermarket body parts world? That is NOT bad quality, and you need to do the pre paint prep finishing yourself or have a paint and body shop do the work.
DUDE....... it is an inexpensive fiber glass custom body part NOT a finish and just add paint quality in which it would have cost at least a couple hundred dollars more. So hop on the internet and learn how to prep a fiberglass aftermarket body part or have a shop doit.
At CarbonMiata, we stand by the quality and consistency of our fiberglass components. However, due to the inherent characteristics of fiberglass manufacturing, some adjustments may be required for optimal fitment. This may involve cutting, sanding, filling, and other modifications before final installation and painting. We highly recommend professional installation by a shop experienced in working with aftermarket fiberglass products, as additional labor and materials may be necessary. Minor imperfections, adjustments, or surface repairs are considered standard and do not qualify for refunds.

Fiberglass body kits often require refinements such as adjusting panel gaps, reshaping edges, reinforcing weak points, or other preparatory steps. This is a normal aspect of working with fiberglass. It is the buyer’s responsibility to research and understand the process before purchasing. We strongly advise having these parts installed by a skilled custom shop familiar with fiberglass fabrication, as traditional collision repair shops specialize in OEM direct-fit components and may not have the necessary expertise.
There's absolutely no way that kit can be bolted onto the car if you take a look at the curled up areas where it's supposed to be bolted in. The fiberglass would simply crack if you tied to tighten them down!! That's poor quality.
Sorry dude but all your response are simply indicating you don’t have any fiber glass body part skills,
I suggest you take your rant and negativity about a product you know know how to use with the supplier.
or if you are smart stop responding with showing us Ypu lack of being able to to body fiberglass body work and do as the manufacturer stated to find a professional shop to install the part.
wow! ……what did you think you were going to get joint a forum ….a ABC lesson how-to fiberglass or just to rant about a product you purchased and didn’t research what it would take and what experience level to install it would be?
Read the part about not intended for use on the street
Those parts MUST NOT be used on the streets. Carbon fiber and fiberglass are strong materials but not as strong as steel, during a crash, the carbon can break quite easily. It is the buyer's responsibility to use our items on his car. We recommend using our parts only on the track in a safe environment.

When you finish your complaining about my responses I have several pictures from fiber glass companies in the US I have on going projects that look very similar to your fiberglass parts as far as finish goes.
One front spoiler I posted in a thread from start to finish like yours.
I also recommend that you randomly contact or better take your pars to an auto and body shop and show them your parts and have them try to explain in person the exact same thing I posted in this thread of yours.
A couple months ago I ordered this CARBON FIBER FRONT LIP for my 2015 Miata MX-5 Club.
This UNFINISHED PIECE OF JUNK IS WHAT I GOT!!

As long as you are going to complain (5 posts as a new member) might as well also mention this I was going to ignore but reading it and your intension of your other thread.....
WOW! Dude ... show this thread and that info on the emblem to your fellow Mx-5 buds and watch and listen to their reaction to it and you.
Maybe you had better not you may acquire a nickname in your group that is not complementary?
The weight you want to reduce to make a difference is the "UPSPRING" weight which is the tires, wheels and other parts associated with them. Unless you can reduce other parts of the vehcle by 100 lbs at a time then there is not really any advantage to a few ounces or a couple of pounds of wight reducing. Besides if you are intended to sport drive you would for your own safety and possible SCCA or track regulation be required to have a basic roll bar and maybe a safety harness. Either is quadruple the weight or a couple of small metal emblems.
BTW I have aftermarket side skirts that had a small area for a emblem. I did not want the look so had as part of the body part preparation fill the area to eliminate that emblem indentation area.
Maybe I should have been concerned that the added body fill weight more than those emblems. LOL
