Engine light on my 06 came on and would like to try and troubleshoot and resolve myself.

Assuming I can buy equipment / tools, plug in and determine a code / root cause? Any guidance on what I'll need to get started?

Disregard. I'm going to go the route I saw in another thread and take the car to an auto parts store and have them run the diag to determine the code and then go from there.
