Door edge damage
[align=left]I own a 2007 with about 4K miles on it and I love it. Prior to this purchase I owned a 1990 for 17 years and obviously my wife and I loved it. There is a problem I just discovered and it has to do with door edge damage. Apparently the door was opened into another vehicle, although neither of us has any recall of the incident. The result is the door edge is ever-so-slightly bent and a two-inch crack has appeared in the paint of our brand new car. The responsibility for the damage is ours' but I feel this is an excessive amount of damage from an incident that didn't even get our attention. We are wondering if this is a design flaw or just a freak occurence. Has anyone out there had a similar problem with what we think are too flimsy door edges?
