Default 2006 MX5 CAI & Exhaust

I recently picked up a new 06 MX5 Grand Touring, 6spd with sports suspensionand am interested in putting CAI and exhaust on it. Any recommendations from others as to what brands to look at and what the hp gains are?

Default RE: 2006 MX5 CAI & Exhaust

I'm also new to the MX-5....

I'm also on the same route as in bolt-on performance parts. The gains aren't going to be too great and should be more for your preference in sounds and weight savings. The Roadster Sport Duals and Race model mufflers seem to be a popular choice because of its weight-savings over the heavy stock muffler. This is just the axle-back muffler and you need to purchase the mid-pipe separately which the same company and several other companies make. In terms of CAI, Mazdaspeed has the exact same desgin as the AEM Cold Air Intake. The only difference is the price and the name. Those will be my bolt-ons as of right now until I can figure out how to extract more power from this car without going the oh-so familiar FI route.
