1999 Mazda Miata Bose Head Unit AM/FM/CD Unit
I continue to have an issue with my 1999 Bose head unit in my Mazda Miata. I have located a local repair shop, but his prices seem pretty high. Since I don't know what he will find or charge, I am wondering if there is a place that sells refurbished or remanufactured Bose radios? I found some place in eBay, but they only have the cassette player unit for my radio which has two units; the AM/FM/CD changer unit and the cassette player. It seems my model number is 1M31. One guy said while he does not carry any refurbed units he also thinks that my Bose unit is also NC10 66 9RO or CQ-10A. Any ideas?

Not having completed your member information it is difficult to recommend an Audio service shop that would be in your area. Generally, they will list if they service BOSE. As for trouble shooting any stereo system it s the hourly rate. Again, without knowing where you reside, and I would basically only know states in the US I cannot even help with that answer either.

Hmm, will have to go in and add some info. I was able to find a repair shop here in Virginia and dropped it off today.

For future reference junk yards a re a good source for things like radios, especially ones that will pull the part and ship it to you.

For the last few decades, they are called Auto-recyclers. I would not recommend going to a "junk yard" for any auto parts mainly because of warranty and how parts are treated which is very different then "junk yards".
I would also buy stereo equipment from a known and listed Auto Recycler that will exchange equipment should it prove to not work! |
