1999 Mazda Miata Bose AM/FM/CD Head Unit

I have a 1999 Miata with the OEM Bose head unit for AM/FM/CD player with auto antenna. Yesterday out of the blue, when I went to press the volume control knob it did not "detent" the button did not push in. The radio and antenna came on, but only momentarily and then proceeded to turn on and turn off. I did hear a clicking from under the dashboard, like a relay. If I put a CD in, it does the same thing, plays on and off. I think recently when I would turn up the volume it did not really move the volume bar. Maybe the control knob was starting to go? Is this something that can be fixed by a repair shop?

26 years for any Auto stereo system is pretty good that it lasted this long unless you have a garage queen Mazda? Even then the temperature seasonal changes even in a garage unless it is has its own HVAC system stereo age.

Yes, I guess. Got the radio out and dropped it off at a repair shop today. Except for the volume control know, it works fine. Hoping they can fix it!
