Mazda Connect: GEN 6 or GEN 7 ?
I took my 2023 CX-9 to the dealer today for it's first oil/filter change. Also told them my TPMS does not display the actual tire pressures either on the APP or on the car display. Mazda Bulletin SA-006-023 dated January 23, 2023 addresses this situation for the 2021-2023 CX-9 and other models.
They called Mazda Tech Line and were told to update the system, reset the battery, then test drive the car. The mechanic followed the Tech Line instructions and nothing changed, still not tire pressure readings. They called the Tech Line again and were told to check another 2023 CX-9 to see if it displays pressure, they checked and it did not. Tech Line then told them the 2023 CX-9 has a GEN 6 system and only the GEN 7 system displays tire pressure.
My screen looks like the GEN 7, It's text with about 5 choices, not graphic. System software is ver. 11046.
Any body know if the 2023 US CX-9 has GEN 7 and how to tell GEN 6 from GEN 7?
Thanks

Hud,
The only reference I found that distinguishes Gen 6 from 7 is here. Assuming that there are no big changes to the Connect system from 2021 (which is what I have) onwards, I don't think a tire pressure value readout is provided at all. I certainly did not see anything in the manual discussing it. I recently updated Connect to version 11048, still don't see it.
Hope this helps! 👍

I found this in the CX-5 board posted in July on 2021.
Not sure if it applies to the '23 CX-9, however changing the display to look like the 'new' system seems a little underhanded.
"Forgive me if I missed the past thread in my search. But, I've seen screenshots of MyMazda Connected Services app that show tire pressure. I did some Googling and apparently, the new CX-5's (2021) with the 10.5" screen are actually what is considered Gen 6.5 whereas the newer model CX-50 is the Gen 7 Infotainment system and will display individual tire pressures I assume on both the car's screen and the app?"
