Led hood strip installation with a tap fuse

Hi guys I have a 2016 Mazda Cx9 touring and I am trying to install a hood led scan light strip. I would like to tap into a fuse under the hood that’s only powered when the car is on? Any help would be great all this is new to me. I know my Mazda takes mini low profile fuses.

Welcome to the forum

I would recommend that you use and if you don't have one buy at least an inexpensive volt/ohm meter.
As far as choice of fuse you should look at the cover and see what they run. No one should be suggesting which one to use unless they know everything about what the fuse you want to tap into already powers. and what the requirement is for the accessory you want to add.
However should someone make a suggestion remember you take that at your own risk!

I would recommend to find a unused fuse slot that fits your requirement. That would be easy enough with your meter.
