I have a 2016 CX-9 which has the infotainment controller behind the (automatic) gear shifter. When the car is turned on, it has an issue where the selector moves to the left itself and also select items itself. It seems to me that the control **** assembly is faulty but just wondering if others have experienced this.

 

Very good chance its the screen at fault. Common problem with MZD connect. Get it scanned for CMU fault codes. B108E:04 is most likely the code you will get.
