CX9 knocking noise at 40mph
 
My 2011 CX9 GT has been making a strange knocking noise for quite some time which seems to come from the drivetrain or possibly beneath the car. It sounds like 5-6 quick knocks or taps when lightly accelerating between 40-44 MPH. It almost sounds as if there is something loose beneath the car which is tapping due to motion or wind, but Im unable to find anything under the car that would make this noise, and it only occurs when under light acceleration. I have ruled out a tire issue as it has persisted after changing all tires. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Thanks.

Wheel bearings. I've been through 4 sets...at 325k miles

YY Steve - Did you ever have this issue resolved? I'm having a similar issue and the dealer seems a bit stomped.
