Coming back to Mazda!
I bought a 17 Mazda 3 GT Hatchback manual transmission several years ago. I loved it but I needed more more room. I don't know what I was thinking, but instead of upsizing to the CX-9, I opted for an 18 Honda Pilot EX-L. While it had plenty of room and was pretty comfortable, it was blah to drive. I traded it in after a couple of years for a 20 Tundra Platinum. My truck has been great but I'm moving back to SLC,UT and it really is too hard to deal with day to day.
I was in SLC over the past few days getting my rental secured while waiting to sell my house here in western Colorado. I stopped by the local dealership that sold me the Mazda 3. The salesman remembered me because he really liked the Mazda 3 that he sold to me. I test drove a CX-9 Signature for about 20 minutes. I felt right at home, it felt like my 3 but just bigger and more comfortable. I'm going to pull the trigger in a few weeks once we get all our stuff moved into the rental. If I need a truck, I can rent one at Uhaul or Home Depot.
I can sell my Tundra for what paid for it 18 months ago, and the Signature is going to leave me with about 8k cash. I'll get a winter tire package from Tire Rack and a ski rack. And some WeatherTech floor liners. I might also get the windows tinted a little darker. Will post pictures when I pull the trigger.

Welcome back to the Mazda family. Mazda makes the best driving vehicles in each class that it has a vehicle. The market is crazy which makes it a horrible time to trade up for most but a great time for the right person and the right deal. Sounds like you are one of the lucky ones.
