Default 2019 CX-9: Cover underneath the steering wheel

Hello CX-9 owners,

Last week, I received the service for regular maintenance. A few days later, I found the there is the missing cover underneath of the steering wheel on driver seat side. (Please see the attached photo)
I revisited the dealership and complained that the technician did not put the cover back after the service. However, the service manager said there is no cover at all originally, i.e., bare wires/components underneath the steering wheel.

I remember that, when I did car wash, these wires and components covered by a fabric cover.

I would like to confirm what the dealer said, which is no cover underneath a steering wheel of 2019 CX-9. Can anyone having 2019 CX-9 check the spot highlighted in red in below picture from your car and let me know if you also have bare wires/components without a cover? If not, please share some photos of underneath of the steering wheel of your car with me so that I can convince the dealer that the cover is originally located.

Any comments would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

No cover

As far as I am aware none of the model MADAs have a cover in that area. Not sure how you can even see it without getting under the dash with your head?
While you are there next notice that there are no slot or press holds for a cover anyway.
