2017 CX-9 Grand Touring Engine Shut off

So my wife and I just got the 2017 CX-9 back in December of 2018 and a couple days ago I was driving on the highway when the CX-9 engine cuts off and had to merge off the highway. It was very extremely dangerous!

I checked the car monitoring device, from the dealer, and it showed "Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input". I was a little below 1/8 tank, getting off the highway to get gas at them time. After being towed to the garage, the tech told me it was because I had no gas left, but clearly still had gas. After that I've been monitoring my gas tank levels from the dash and comparing it with the apps gas tank gauge. It seems like either the monitoring device is off or the car gas gauge is off. Getting a full tank of gas only shows %90 full from the monitoring device. When I had 1/8 tank of gas the device showed me at %10. I'll be tanking it into the dealer to have them check this out. Hopefully it's just my car, BUT I wanted to post this to warn others.

Let me know if anyone else is experiencing this problem or have an idea on what this could be.
