Default 2016 CX-9 Wipers Stopped Working (Body Control Module)

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2016 CX-9 that has 36,117 miles ( 117 miles out of warrantee) Without the whole hassle of telling how horrible stealerships are and not willing to help cover this issue without extreme cost - I'd like to try to resolve it myself. I was driving over the weekend in a rainstorm the wipers were working fine then suddenly just stopped. I have tested the power to the motor and checked the fuses. Everything is good to go. I've done research online and have come up with limited solutions. One from cx-5 thread that talks about a similar issue being traced to a relay that is housed within the BCM. The dealership has quoted me $430 for the part, Napa $255. Lol. Pretty big difference, but mazdaparts.com has it for $117. I'm not a 100 percent sure it is the BCM, however I'm willing to give it a shot. Does anyone have any experience with replacing this part? My biggest concern is anything in the unit tied to the programming of the FOB and would I still have to have a dealer involved to flash the system. Much appreciated for any help you could provide. Kenny
