2011 CX9 GT - brake is acting up
 

Hello folks,
I am a new member here and I am glad I found this forum. My 2011 CX9 Grand Touring is not braking smoothly these days. I don't drive this car regularly (it is my wife's primary car now), so I haven't noticed this until last month. When braking, especially at lower speeds, I feel the car applies brakes in steps. It is not a smooth braking as it used to be any more. The car does stop and brakes as intended, but I can feel that it is not smooth. I don't hear any noise or vibration, just that it is not smooth. I took it for regular oil change 2 weeks and the dealer's complimentary inspection did not find anything.

Any suggestions/thoughts? Thank you so much.

There is a recall "warranty Extension" on 2007-2013 Mazda CX9 brakes. The power booster will go out and cause lose of braking :-( just had the power booster on my 2012 replaced for the 2nd time in 80,000 miles. I'm a little worried, the extension only goes to 90,000 miles. Check out the recall at Mazda recalls. Good luck.
