2010 CX-9 Vibration
Hi All.
New to this forum. have had my CX-9 for a few years now. 25,000 kays ago, got the Transfer case changed as it was leaking. Soon after got the transmission oil changed as well (101,000 kms) Now, unsure when this stared, but at 60 odd kmh, there is an intermittent vibration. Goes away soon after. Seems to do it in 4th and 5th gears... Doesnt always happen though.. Recently had the tyres rotated, and the vibration seemed to go away for a bit, but back within a couple of weeks. Tyre shop reckon the Ball joints etc are ok. Could it be wrong oil in the transmision? Will be looking at it this weekend to check centre shaft bearing. Had a quick look and there is a ever so tiny bit of moment. Should there be any movement at all? Tyres are all slightly different in relation to wear, long story (1 or 2mm only). I know the AWD (which i have) is sensitive to tyres that arent wearing the same. Anyone had anything similar? |
Slight update for anyone interested...
There is a tiny bit of movement in the front left bearing/cv shaft. RHS has no movement at all. Off to the mechanic tomorrow to confirm my suspicions. |
CX-9s are becoming common for front wheel bearings.
