Default 2008 performance upgrades

I currently own a 2008 cx9. I would like to make this car more sport like but I'm
Not sure where to start with the car so
I'd appreciate some recommendations on what to do. Thanks

The two things I would start with would be a cat back exhaust and K&N style air intake. That should make a noticeable difference with out breaking the bank. It will also help with fuel economy when your are just cruising.

Looks like K&N only offers a filter: K&N Products by Vehicle Search - Year, Make, Model, Engine Search .
Nothing for Cat Back according to Magnaflow.
Nothing on Hypertech.
If you're gonna do anything, it'll be custom!

The one thing you could look at is the Ford version (Edge I think) of the CX9 maybe they may make a after market exhaust. to be honest there is not much behind the cat you could probably purchase the mufflers you want to use and take it to a shop. Perhaps an x-pipe would help. I want to do this to my CX9 it annoys me how sloppy the exhaust looks hanging from the bottom of the car, there is no reason why they tuck it in a little better.
