Transmission issue on CX7
Hey Guys,
I have a 2007 CX7 with about 102,000 miles on it. Just recently the transmission feels a little bit rough. While it down-shifts from 4th to 3rd, sometimes it's like the car is being kicked from the back. I got the
transmission flush service just couple days ago but does not seem to
help. Does anyone experience similar issues?? Thanks.

Did you have any previous tranny changes?
This should have been your 3rd Tranny Fluid Change!
READ: Flush it or Forget it | MotorWeek
and: Transmission Fluid Flush Tips | Trucks Plus Do not be fooled by it being a Truck article, auto trannys are all similar.
"What we want our fluid to look like always is brand new, and that means we have to flush it. We should flush it every twenty-four to thirty thousand miles."

Who did the flush?
How many litres/quarts did they use/charge you for?
What oil did they use?
Did they test drive it after the flush? any comments from them?
More than likely you will get charged for a code check. I strongly recommend getting the codes read by Mazda, only because their factory diagnostic testers read & report more codes than generic testers can.

Thanks.
All the services are done in a local Mazda shop.
They didn't seem to feel the "kick".
One more question, can a code check give some information since
the check trany light does not really pop up??

I did a little research on the internet to see if I could find other vehicles with you tranny symptoms, but was unsuccessful. My daughter has a 2007 Nissan Murano and her transaxle went out and she said that her car was doing something similar to yours. Anyways, I have a brand new OEM Mazda Shaft (Transaxle), Drive Gear (part no. LN03-27-392 or LN0327392) for the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 Mazda CX-7 for sale that I had purchased through a lost/damage freight company here in Salt Lake City, so if your transmission does have a transaxle problem I could sell it to you. The original Mazda box has been opened only for the purpose of showing what this looks like. The part retails for $124.49 at the Mazda dealer while I’m asking $30.00 for this one, plus the shipping cost to send it to you.

Transmission fault?
Hi just a quick note, just make sure the fault doesn't lie somewhere else. PTO, prop shaft or engine mounts for example. All these can give you symptoms of a gearbox fault.
Hope this helps!!
