Default Recommended Oil for CX-7

Anyone talked to Mazda about the recommended engine oil for the CX-7 ? Heard any comments about synthetics ?

the manual says its 5W30.. Not sure about synthetics though, there is a thread regarding using synthetics in another CX7 forum www.mycx7.com

I think they want you to use 0w-20 in the 2012 2.5 L

No synthetic oil for the 2007 cx 7. If you use synthetic in the 2007 model it will damage the bearings in the turbo. use 5w30

Best advice, IMO, is to not second guess the engine builders. Use what the manual says and change it religiously. They designed and built the engine and chose its components. They know best.

2.3 Turbo Petrol?
2.5 non turbo Petrol?
2.2 Turbo Diesel?

If Jacobske is in the U.S, only one engine was available for the CX-7, the 244hp (IIRC?) 2.3L turbo, petrol/gasoline.

i would like to see this in ANY mazda service/owners manual. synthetic oil is WAAAY better for turbos than conventional.
