Hi,
You don't load it onto your ELM. You go to forscan.org and download the software and install it on your computer. Then plug the ELM into the vehicle. Connect it to your computer via usb or wifi depending which one you have. Open forscan on your computer, make sure it's looking at the correct port and press connect!
I also have the iPhone version so I can connect to the car from my phone while driving. (I have the wifi ELM).

I need to extinguish my flashing dpf lamp which is definitely on for a service reminder, any ideas if this can be done via an OBD2 scanner or without please?

You can just download the latest version of you want. 2.2.5.
Pretty sure from memory that's what you do. Hit the reset dpf values and it then steps you through what to do.

Default Quick Question

Guys one thing, whilst conducting the forced DPF Burn does the connector need to remain grounded? Also is this connector the same as the reset oil change, ie is this connected to the ECU as in the link provided on page one of this thread https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8A...it?usp=sharing, because my Mazda CX7 2.2l MZD CD has a two port connector as apposed to a six port connector.

Default Timing chain

Just to let you know a flashing DPF is also an indication that the timing chain is loosening. This is what happened to me.
