Mazda cx7 2008 struggling to move uphill
Hi team,
Please, i have a 2008 Mazda cx7 AWD which had a turbocharged engine. It has recently been installed with a 2010 mazda cx7 non turbocharged engine, however, the car drives okay but struggles to climb uphill. Codes shown when scanned include; P0069, P0098, P2006, P2009.
please, any suggestions for a smooth drive uphill?
thank you

It reads more like your ECU is not getting the correct information from the sensors or the ECU was damaged and or the connector or harness damaged during the engine swap. The first thing suggested to do is an ECU flash from the last update that was available for your Mazda. Then make sure all the DTC are are checked and the primary DTC cleared. Drive and as soon as the engine check light is activated pull to the side of the road and retrieve in all areas the ERCU information. DONT drive more then another 5 minutes before doing the ECU check or unassociated DTC may be activated which will convolute a good attempt to track the root of the issues.
I did not look.... but... generally speaking going from a Turbocharged factory engine and installing it into a non turbo factory instead platform and model is not as easy as simple changing a few sensors but the need for ECU access and calibration or a complete ECU change over with the engine be done. Problems as you are having is not uncommon to see on many platforms and are not easy to resolve.
Bottom line you should have found the same inductive type engine for doing the engine replacement.
